A professional opportunity is available for a bilingual Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) specializing in teletherapy, serving students in a K-12 school setting in San Antonio, TX. This contract position requires a minimum of 40 hours per week and involves indirect supervision of a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA).
Key responsibilities include:
- Supervising an SLPA by observing therapy sessions and collecting classroom data to support Individualized Education Program (IEP) development.
- Attending IEP meetings to provide professional input.
- Adding the SLPA to your license via an online process requiring familiarity with Texas licensing procedures. For those new to supervision, completion of a two-hour webinar is mandatory.
Candidate qualifications and requirements:
- Active Texas SLP licensure from the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.
- ASHA Certification with logged clinical hours is preferred.
- Experience working with K-12 age groups in school settings.
- Ability to conduct remote speech therapy sessions (teletherapy).
- Prior supervision experience is advantageous; however, training is available for candidates new to supervising an SLPA.
- Submission of references and completion of a prescreen interview are necessary before presenting to the district.
Compensation is commensurate with experience, ranging from $55 to $67 per hour, structured as follows:
- Entry-level (0-2 years): $55-$58/hr
- Mid-level (3-5 years): $58-$61/hr
- Experienced (6-9 years): $61-$64/hr
- Advanced (10+ years): $64-$67/hr
The contract is active immediately and extends through May 29, 2026, with potential assignments across multiple schools.
